CHRISTMAS STUFF

So, I have taken a Handmade Holiday pledge and I have been slowly but surely crafting my way through the family's Christmas gifts. I will post a few of them here once the craziness has boiled over. Just to give you a little taste, there are crocheted hats and lovely purses in the mix.

For now, I will link you to the crochet pattern that I am LOVING right now for beanies!

Which is saying something, because I usually hate patterns (I guess I'm just a rebel, eh?)

SPRING BREAK :D

It's just around the bend and I am super excited.

A week off from school.

I'll be outside.

I'll have a chance to rearrange my room.

Body Image.

I am sick and tired of the media telling me to be rail thin, or to love my curves. I am D-O-N-E, done. I'm sick of listening to friends say I'm just perfect and ex-friends call me fat. This is a whirlwind world that we live in and it sucks, because you're finally comfortable in your own skin and one comment knocks you off kilter, the second comment kills you.

On a happier note, I got my inverted double bellybutton pierced last night :D

Self-Hauntings and Musing

I have been haunting myself, by keeping tabs on ex-boyfriends and ex-friends. Not like I'm stalking them or anything, I just check in on their Facebook every once in a while to see how they're doing, but in doing so, I am torturing myself because no, they haven't fallen down a well, and yes, they're moving on with their lives. I pride myself on my people skills, but when I can't think of them as a human anymore, the claws come out.

Annnyyywhooo.

I am the assistant stage manager for my university's production of The Strange case of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. We're still early in production, so I don't really have anything to do yet. So, I get to spend my evenings watching rehearsals.

I have quite the obsession for crafting.

That's an understatement; crafting, sewing, cutting, tear ripping and making anew is what fuels my everyday movement. I look at something and analyze it, "What do the pattern pieces look at? What would be the best materials? Could I make it cheaper/easier?" and that it the way I choose to live my way:]

Anywho, I will be uploading some DIYs very near and dear to my own heart very soon, so just wait and see!

Dreamless Nights & Wonderful Bedhead

I used to hate going to sleep on my hair wet because that meant it dried whilst I slept and it wouldn't dry straight like my hair wants to do naturally, but then I had a revelation one day. This crazy intense bedhead hair of mine is exactly what's going on fashion wise, so why backcomb and use 22 ounces of hairspray to get what I usually get in the mornings anyway. So after a long and dreamless night of tossing and turning on my new bed and a handmade headband, I give you this:
